The number of National Parks and recreational areas within a day drive from Las Vegas can offer some extra nice adventure to their holidays. Enjoy the Grand Canyon, Zion National Park and Death Valley National Park
Grand Canyon National Park
Grand Canyon National Park is 275 miles to the South Rim of the Hoover Dam. To the North Rim is almost the same distance in Utah. Make a long weekend of it and enjoy all aspects.
The Grand Canyon is dominant and stimulating landscapes that can overwhelm our senses through its immense size. Grand Canyon is 277 miles long through the Colorado River. There are places in the Canyon about 18 km wide, and some areas, millions deep. To get to Grand Canyon from Las Vegas take U.S. 93 south of Hoover Dam to Kingman Arizona. Here you will want to take I-40 east about 115 miles to Williams Arizona. This is a great place to take a break, stretch your legs and maybe get a bite to eat. When you get back on the road you’ll now want to make sure that you are on Arizona State Route 64 north to Grand Canyon Village. Non-stop flights from Las Vegas to Grand Canyon Village should be less than 5 hours. Enjoy this Grand Canyon views and all the Village has to offer. If you have a few extra days to spare and want to keep the ring, make sure you’re on Arizona State Route 64 east, which becomes U.S. Route 89A North. About 165 miles from Grand Canyon Village you will find the Arizona State Route 67, then you should take this road south about 42 miles to the North Rim. The North Rim is almost opposite the Grand Canyon Village, but they are more than 10 miles apart. Enjoy your day here, it’s just as beautiful as any other part of this breathtaking grandeur Mother Nature’s efforts. to return to Las Vegas, the Arizona State Route 67 north 42 miles and get back on U.S. Route 89A headed west. Stay on this route is in Utah, until you reach I-15. Then you can relax while south of the cruise control set for about two hours and you will be back in Las Vegas. Zion National ParkZion National Park can be reached in about three hours from Las Vegas.
Zion National Park was designated as 1919 and is Utah’s oldest. Zion is known for its incredible canyon walls that rise up to heaven in the sky. A true Zion experience to be able to get out and walk among steep cliffs or see how much courage you have to wander through the narrow canyons, known as “The Narrows”. The Walk The possibilities are really endless in Zion. The unique colors of sandstone palace in the desert between almost white to pink and red. To get to Zion National Park from Las Vegas, you will simply get I-15 North about 131 miles before exiting the Utah State Highway 9 and back to Utah State Hwy 9 E. You have to Zion National Park, about 30 km from your I-15 Exit. Death Valley National ParkThere are many points your destination when you visit Death Valley National Park, Death Valley Junction is reached for almost two hours, and Scotty’s Castle less than four. A straight through drive from Furnace Creek can be had for about two and a half hours.

You can get to Furnace Creek for about 1 and half hour from Scotty’s castle.
Furnace Creek is a great place to take a break, enjoy the visitor center and picnic. Once you have completed, get back on the road CA-190 east out of town and turn on the Badwater Road, which turns into CA-178, Jubilee Pass Rd. If you’re pressed for time, you can come to Baker in about 3 and a half hour from Furnace Creek, if not, there are plenty of interesting stops. On the Baker you hit I-15 North and should be back in Las Vegas at least two hours.
